Woodpeckers in the Evening

Downies and Red Bellied Woodpeckers are regulars at the suet feeders in the Fall and Winter. What caught my eye today was a rare visitor..a Yellow Bellied Sapsucker. This is only the second time I've seen one at my feeders and the first time I've gotten pictures.

I blend in beautifully
Then my more familiar
                                                              friends posed too..

Who me?

Meet my mate
And finally look who flew in, as the sun was setting..

  5. Great shots! Put out some bark butter and you will see the Sapsucker again and again. Mine in NC is addicted to the butter.
